As per the description of “low budget Makoto Shinkai” the plot reminds me of Byousoku 5 Centimeter.

I’ll leave it up to the reader to look up the plot of that one as to not spoil the story any for those unfamiliar with it. Basically trying to describe the plot describes the whole anime so there’s no point in doing so; you’re better off just watching it.

Since its short and by an independent it probably gets cut a bit more slack than would be otherwise. There’s certainly worse ways to spend 15 minutes.

It’s like it’s trying really hard to be Shinkai but failing spectacularly… ಠ∆ಠ; But I really appreciate you guys going to the trouble to sub this.

I thought the story was a lot of poetic bullcrap.

But I still appreciate the effort the translator team put into it. More one-shots needs this kind of attention, or they will all forever go unnoticed.
